In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
{ "God will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees" }
Peace and blessings be upon the most honorable of prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions. The light shone on 5/10/2025, when the College of Engineering was established within the edifice of Ahlulbait University to be a beacon of knowledge, a factory for minds, and a pillar upon which our nation builds its present and looks forward to its future. Since its first day, our college has carried a noble mission; it was not merely about education and awarding degrees, but a pledge and a promise to great Iraq to prepare a generation that believes in responsibility, armed with science and knowledge, capable of leadership and creativity, and rooted in its values and belonging. We believe that engineering is not just a profession, but a life mission; it is the language of construction and creativity. Hence, the College of Engineering's keenness to keep pace with rapid developments in the fields of science and work, through the twinning of the Artificial Intelligence Department with Al-Nahrain University - College of Information Engineering and Automation, as well as the twinning of the Oil and Gas Department with the University of Technology - College of Oil and Gas Engineering, to adopt solid scientific materials, training courses, development programs, and exchange expertise,
and to hold scientific conferences with the participation of international researchers in the fields of oil and gas. Furthermore, we provide modern facilities and advanced laboratories that enable our students to face the challenges of the era with confidence and high efficiency. Students have been engaged in various activities and events, including scientific and artistic exhibitions, specialized workshops, as well as field visits to factories, companies, and state institutions to enhance their practical skills, consolidate their position in serving their society, and drive the wheel of progress forward. Our college has taken upon itself the responsibility of carrying the message of science with honesty and transparency, and the diligent pursuit of transferring methods of development and renewal to society so that we can contribute together to building a strong, prosperous Iraq and drawing a clear roadmap for the future. The college has paid great attention to developing infrastructure, from modern classrooms and scientific laboratories to an engineering workshop equipped according to international quality standards, to ensure our college is accredited within reputable international rankings. We have also been keen to support our teaching staff financially and morally, and to encourage them to publish scientifically in prestigious international journals, because they are the true pillar of this scientific edifice, and without them, this building would not have risen, nor would this dream have been completed.
Our students are our hope for tomorrow, and they are the true extension of this college's journey, so that they may be a generation capable of leadership in various walks of life, preserving the message of science, and loyal to the journey of Iraq.
My colleagues of the teaching and administrative staff, you are the support and the source of giving; with you, the journey continues, and with your determination, this edifice flourishes. You are the candles that light the path for our students, and the role models from whom they derive the meanings of seriousness and sincerity. Let us all move forward, as one heart, one will, and a determination that knows no breaking, towards a dear, towering Iraq—an Iraq worthy of its children's sacrifices, and one for whose sake we deserve to live and spend our lives in pursuit of its elevation and dignity. In conclusion, let us make knowledge a pledge, loyalty an honor, and sincerity a path that leads us to a prosperous, renewed Iraq.
